If I want to report something that is not an emergency, do I call 911 or another number?  For Non-Emergency calls, dial 239-997-8654.
 

How can I get a copy of a fire report?  Call the business office at 239-997-8654, between 9:30am – 3pm, Monday – Friday to request a copy.  There is no charge. You may also use the public request form located on our webpage.
 

I have received phone calls from people representing themselves as firefighters and asking for donations.  Are they really firefighters? NO. North Fort Myers Fire District does NOT solicit or ask for donations.
 

How can I get more involved with the Fire District and my Community? North Fort Myers Fire District has a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) program.  All residents are encouraged to participate in this program.  The CERT members are volunteers, and work closely with the Fire District, in times of need.  Call 239-731-1931 ext 210 and ask for our Public Education Officer, Christi Kulwicki, for more information on how to become involved with your local CERT program. I have unused and unwanted medications.  How do I dispose of them, and where?  The Fire District does NOT dispose of medications, or accept them.  These medications can be taken to the local Sheriff’s Office for disposal, or you may visit http://www.dep.state.fl.us/waste/categories/medications/pages/disposal.htm for more information.
 

How do I dispose of used/new needles or syringes?  The fire department accepts needles/syringes in approved biohazard containers.  You may bring the container to the fire department at any time, and drop off the container, and pick up a new container.  The SHARPS program is located at all 3 stations located in North Fort Myers.
