Community Emergency Response Team

NFMFD has trained many CERT volunteers in the past 3 years.

During Hurricane Charley that training paid off. Our CERT's manned the Academy of the Arts shelter which housed over 2000 evacuees.

Our CERT teams also managed their home bases by providing shelter, ice and water, emergency services, and completed primary and secondary assessments on their structures.
